Dr. Bhagirath Choudhary

Dr. Bhagirath Choudhary is the Founder Director of the South Asia Biotechnology Centre (SABC), a Government of India–recognized SIRO. An agricultural engineer with over 25 years of experience, he focuses on sustainable agriculture, pest management, bioeconomy development, and taking lab innovations to the field. He has worked extensively with smallholder farmers across Rajasthan and Haryana, leading the adoption of regenerative cotton, QPM maize, low-erucic mustard, cluster beans, and IPM/GAP-based production systems. A prolific author and thought leader, Dr. Choudhary has published multiple books and scientific papers dedicated to crop health, nutrition management, and bridging the gap between science and society.
